چکیده
This study refers to EVOLUTE (a project of Information Society Technologies (IST)) that combines Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) with Mobile IP (MIP) to support macro-mobility management and provides seamless multimedia services for roaming users. Moreover, this study utilizes Multicast-based Mobility (M&M) to assist Cellular IP (CIP) in micro-mobility management. The aim of this work is to generate a complete integration of heterogeneous network to support fine-fit mobility management for seamless handoff. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed system achieves good performance. The proposed system also satisfies the demand for multimedia services. We conclude that the proposed system facilitates further development of wireless communication networks. Key-words: micro-mobility; integrate heterogeneous network; M&M; EVOLUTE; 4G; hybrid system;

A MPLS Framework for Macro- and Micro-Mobility Management
Mobile IP (MIP) provides a global framework for IP mobility management; however, it is not suitable for micro-mobility environments. Many domain-based micromobility management schemes have been proposed to overcome the limit of MIP. All these scheme delegate to MIP for inter-domain mobility. Recently there is a trend to use Multiple Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) to deal with mobility manageme...

Various services supports are the principal requirements of the Fourth Generation (4G) system; therefore, the need to improve integration of heterogeneous networks is significant. This paper amends EVOLUTE (a project of Information Society Technologies (IST)) to strengthen mobility management. This paper uses Multicast-based Mobility (M&M) to aid Cellular IP (CIP) in micro-mobility management. ...
متن کاملMobility Management in Next Generation Networks: Analysis of Handover in Micro and Macro Mobility Protocols
One of the main issues with Mobile Internet Protocol (MIP) is slow handovers. Mobility protocols are classified as micro or macro depending on the domain of the network. When macro mobility protocols are used in managing localized mobility requirements, they result in slow handovers and delays that result in loss of packets and make these protocols unsuitable for time sensitive applications. Mi...
متن کاملA STUDY OF THE SCALABILITY AND PERFORMANCE OF MULTI-LEVEL HIERARCHY FOR SCALABLE MOBILITY MANAGEMENT IN WIRELESS IPv6 NETWORKS
This paper presents a study on the benefits of multi-level hierarchy for scalable mobility management in the wireless mobile IP context. Micro mobility management is considered. The analysis took advantage of the locality in movement and call activities of mobile users. It was discovered that whether multi-level hierarchy is beneficial or not depends on the type of address management employed i...
متن کاملNovel Network Design Algorithm for Optimizing Hierarchical Mobile IPV
Over the past years a number of IP micro-mobility protocols have been proposed as an extension or complement of Mobile IP. Although the development of these protocols has generated considerable interest in industry and academia, none of them have been widely deployed. The main reason of this lack of real-life usage of micro-mobility proposals is that the RFCs or drafts of these protocols do not...
